The 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of South Africa was enjoyed at the ZK Matthews Hall at Unisa on the 1 December .
His Excellency Chull-joo Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, addressed the guests. A variety of celebration projects have been hosted in both Seoul,Korea and South Africa to commemorate the mutual co operation between the two countries.
When speeches were completed the much anticipated performance by NANTA began.
The non-verbal comedy show with talented performers dressed as chefs was created and produced by Song Seung-whan and incorporates traditional samul nori rhythm. It premiered in October 1997 in Hoam Art Hall in Seoul.
South Korea’s longest running theatrical performance is
made up of kitchen knives and acrobatic feats that had the audience in fits of laughter.
The evening ended with Heads of Missions , distinguished guests and NANTA enthusiasts enjoying sushi and admiring the magnificent sunset over over Freedom Park in the distance.
