A spirit of warmth and community defined the recent IDSA Coffee Morning, graciously hosted at the American International School of Johannesburg at the Pretoria campus.
The morning programme opened with an inspiring leadership address by Dr Leon Lee, whose thoughtful reflections set an uplifting and forward looking tone for the gathering. His remarks underscored the importance of global citizenship, collaboration and the nurturing environment that defines the school’s ethos.
A particularly touching highlight followed, as LSP students presented a heartfelt gift, a meaningful gesture that captured the spirit of appreciation and engagement within the AIS community. The moment served as a reminder that education extends beyond academics, fostering empathy, connection and shared purpose.
The Parent Association introduction was warmly delivered by Niki Bradford and Rania El Sherbini, who celebrated the strong partnership between parents and the school’s leadership. Their words reflected a shared commitment to supporting students and strengthening the vibrant international community that thrives within the institution.
Closing remarks and words of gratitude were offered by Julie Phillipson, Karem Ruiz De Livieres and Ms Winny Lamola, bringing the formal programme to a gracious and appreciative conclusion.
Guests then enjoyed meaningful networking and delightful social moments over refreshments, reinforcing the bonds that unite the diplomatic and educational community. The IDSA Coffee Morning once again proved to be a wonderful platform for connection.
