1 large tomato, diced

1 packet okra or 30 individual okras

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 cup water



Remove the stems and bottom off okra.

Place water in pot, boil.

When water starts boiling, stir in the bicarbonate of soda.

Add the tomato, okra and salt.

Leave to boil, stirring occasionally.

When okra overflows, it is cooked.
