A spectacular Flamenco performance by Anabel Veloso and Gabriel Perez who lit up the stage at the Railway Café in Irene on Sunday 11 December .

The event organised by the Embassy of Spain in Pretoria was enjoyed first in Melville in Johannesburg on the Friday evening followed by the event in Irene.

Flamenco dance is a highly-expressive, Spanish dance form. It is a solo dance characterized by hand clapping, percussive footwork, and intricate hand, arm, and body movements. The dance is usually accompanied by a singer and guitar player. UNESCO recently recognized this dance form from Spain as part of the World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Patrons excitedly joined in where they could, the full house created a fantastic atmosphere with nobody wanting to leave.
