South Africa and Chile share many common interests. For example, both countries are located at the very end of the world. We’re both among the only five countriesthat have gateways to Antarctica, which is very important to us. Of course, we’re both considered developing countries. Because ofall these shared commonalities, Chile is highly focused on south-to-south cooperation. We’re eager to explore new political and economic opportunities with South Africa.
