Fireblade Aviation celebrated its 10th anniversary on 4th July 2024 inside a hangar.

Guests joined in celebrating a decade of extraordinary experiences at Fireblade Aviation. Speakers included Brent Lindeque, “The Good Things Guy”, who reminded South Africans about acts of kindness. He also shared his experience of participating in the filming of an advert focused on tourism. Tourism is a significant contributor to South Africa’s economy. In 2023, tourism in South Africa generated approximately R160 billion. This sector supports a substantial number of jobs and plays a crucial role in the country’s economic development and cultural exchange.

The team visited Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, a private wildlife reserve and one of the largest in South Africa. With over 120,000 hectares, it is the same size as the Johannesburg municipality. Tswalu treated the team like royalty, as is the norm at this amazing location. Brent loved the experience and commented on the passion from both Fireblade and Tswalu Kalahari Reserve.

Julia Sotirianakos, CEO of Reach for a Dream, humbled everyone in the room. The organisation, which began 35 years ago, aims to make a memorable difference in the life of a child fighting a life-threatening illness by fulfilling dreams. Over 22,039 dreams have been realised since 1988. Reach for a Dream and Fireblade Aviation have teamed up with the hope of making even more dreams come true.

Fireblade has grown into a full-service private aviation company. They take pride in delivering extraordinary experiences to every guest who walks through their doors. Their success is a testament to their dedicated staff, from maintenance to FBO, apron, and admin teams, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make every flight an extraordinary and magical one.

Fireblade was born out of an authentic passion for the magic of flight. The Oppenheimers had a vision that they have worked on and expanded. Jonathan Oppenheimer addressed the guests, thanking everyone for their attendance and continued support in a venture that epitomises elegance and flight.

Here’s to another 10 years of innovation and excellence in the aviation industry!
