On 22 May 2025, the Republic of Yemen marked the 35th anniversary of its National Day — the day commemorating the unification of North and South Yemen.
To honour the occasion, the Embassy of Yemen in South Africa, along with its staff, and on behalf of the Yemeni community and students studying in friendly South Africa, extended their warmest congratulations and blessings to His Excellency President Dr Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, its esteemed members, and the people and armed forces of Yemen.
A small gathering with members of the local Yemeni community was held at the Ambassador’s Residence to mark the occasion in a spirit of unity, pride, and shared heritage.
