On 23 February 2026, members of the diplomatic community gathered in Pretoria for a special Iftar hosted by His Excellency Faisal bin Falah Al Harbi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Held at the elegant CT Hotel, the evening brought together diplomats, colleagues and friends of the Embassy in a spirit of unity, reflection and warm fellowship during the sacred month of Ramadan.
As guests gathered to break their fast, the atmosphere was one of gratitude and togetherness. Iftar, a deeply significant moment during Ramadan, serves not only as the breaking of the daily fast but also as an opportunity to strengthen bonds, foster understanding and celebrate shared values of compassion and generosity.
The Ambassador warmly welcomed attendees, expressing appreciation for the continued friendship and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and South Africa. The evening offered a meaningful space for dialogue and connection, underscoring the importance of cultural and interfaith engagement within the diplomatic community.
Set against the backdrop of Pretoria’s hospitality, the Iftar was a beautiful reminder of the power of faith, community and diplomacy to bring people together in mutual respect and solidarity.
