SSCN (Sports for Social Change Network) hosted their award ceremony last night. Aimed at celebrating the achievements of individuals and organisations who have made strides toward positive social impact throughout the African continent.
Held at the SABC head office in Auckland Park , the event was under the theme titled ‘Leading like Mandela’.
The Champion Award, which is the leading like Mandela Award was given by Ms Ndileka Mandela to Charles Nyambe from Namibia.
In attendance were numerous dignitaries and Heads of Missions.

In Nelson Mandela’s words, “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, the power to unite people in a way that little else does… Sports can create hope, where there was once only despair.”
