On October 26, 2023, Embassy Direct, in partnership with the Embassy of Chile, hosted an event for the Personal Assistants of the various embassies at Pretoria Country Club.
H.E. Mr. Julio Fiol, Ambassador of Chile, thanked the 65 PAs who attended the event. These dedicated and professional assistants are responsible for the smooth running of any Ambassador’s affairs.
It was a fun-filled afternoon where the PAs were able to engage with the 36 companies that had exhibition tables showcasing their goods and services. They also had the opportunity to spend time with other administrative professionals in similar positions, sharing stories and trading advice with like-minded individuals who’ve been there, done that, and truly understand how demanding their job can be. In addition to gaining new insights and useful tips from other professionals in the field, they expanded their professional network.
Pretoria Country Club proudly sponsored the venue and also had a table to showcase their various offerings.
Set to become an annual event on every embassy’s calendar, the afternoon event transitioned into early evening, with many guests staying on to enjoy the sunset over the Country Club with the vibrant colors of the Jacaranda trees that have become synonymous with Pretoria at this time of the year.
There were many lucky winners who went home with amazing prizes sponsored by various suppliers present on the day.
After all the hard work put in by the PAs, they deserved the afternoon of fun and spoils.
