The High Commission of the Republic of Zambia marked its 60th Independence Day on 24 October 2024, celebrating the milestone with a reception at the High Commission.
The theme for the 2024 celebrations was “60 Years Strong: Honouring Our Heritage, Embracing the Future.”
H.E Ms Mazuba Bernadine Monze welcomed guests and reminded them that freedom is not just a word but a responsibility to uphold the values of justice, equality, and unity that Zambia stands for.
“It is a responsibility to preserve Zambia’s rich cultural heritage, customs, languages, traditions, and its unity in diversity that form the backbone of our identity,” said H.E Ms Monze.
