Airlink is expanding its domestic network with the introduction of a new service between Cape Town International Airport and Lanseria International Airport, launching on 4 December 2026.

The new route will offer travellers a convenient alternative to O.R. Tambo International Airport, particularly those travelling to and from western Gauteng, parts of Pretoria and the North West province.

Key highlights include:

  • Twice-daily return flights: Two daily return services between Cape Town and Lanseria from 4 December 2026.
  • Increased frequencies: Services are scheduled to expand to four daily return flights from 22 March 2027.
  • Embraer E190 aircraft: The route will be operated using 98-seat Embraer E190 jets, offering passengers comfortable seating with no middle seats.
  • Greater convenience: Lanseria provides an alternative arrival and departure point for travellers visiting Johannesburg’s northern and western areas.

As Airlink’s first scheduled domestic service to Lanseria, the new route strengthens connectivity between the Western Cape and Gauteng, offering greater flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.
