In 2004, the owners of Linen Drawer decided to combine their extensive knowledge of fabrics with their vast experience in the retail and manufacturing industry in South Africa.
This led to the formation of the Linen Drawer concept, with actual trading beginning towards the end of that year.
Their expertise lies in sourcing top-quality pure cotton and linen fabrics that meet their exacting specifications, allowing them to produce an extensive range of bedding. Thus, the Linen Drawer brand was introduced to the South African market. The bedding was well received by both the hospitality and décor industries across the country.
Using their industry knowledge, they expanded their offering to include duvet inners, throws, towelling, and a host of related products suitable for the relevant sectors. This enabled them to offer a virtual one-stop shop for bedding, towelling, and soft furnishings tailored to the hotel and décor industries.
A showroom was opened in Paarl in 2007. Since then, the business has expanded significantly, necessitating a move to larger and better-located premises in Paarl. This transition enabled them to increase manufacturing capacity as well as diversify their product range.
Linen Drawer is essentially a producer of top-quality, high thread count cotton and pure linen bedding. They are also a wholesaler and retailer of a comprehensive range of bed and table linen, along with related products.
Linen Drawer has a wealth of knowledge about fabrics, with a particular focus on the hotel and interior decorating industries. Linen Drawer hosted their open day on 6 March 2025. Interior decorators, members of the hotel industry, and homemakers with a passion for quality and craftsmanship visited to meet the team and tour the showroom, all while enjoying a glass of bubbles.
