On 20 March 2025, Embassy Direct, in partnership with the Embassy of Chile and Nedbank, hosted an event dedicated to the Personal Assistants of various embassies and Embassy Direct partners at Colab Offices in Menlyn Maine.
His Excellency Mr Julio Fiol, Ambassador of Chile, extended his thanks to the 68 PAs and 26 exhibitors who attended the event. These dedicated and professional assistants are the backbone of any ambassador’s daily operations, ensuring the smooth running of affairs behind the scenes.
It was a fun-filled afternoon where PAs had the opportunity to engage with companies at exhibition tables showcasing their goods and services. They also connected with fellow administrative professionals in similar roles — sharing stories, exchanging advice, and bonding over the unique demands of their work. In addition to learning new insights and tips from others in the field, many expanded their professional networks.
Colab Office Space generously sponsored the venue, and the beautiful harvest table was expertly prepared by Norma and Co.
Set to become a regular fixture on every embassy’s annual calendar, the event was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
Several lucky winners walked away with fantastic prizes, kindly sponsored by various suppliers present on the day.
After all the hard work they do throughout the year, the PAs truly deserved this afternoon of appreciation and well-earned spoils.
