Members of the International Diplomatic Spouses Association (IDSA) in Pretoria enjoyed a cultural morning in the Turkish Kitchen at the Turkish Residence. Chef Yunus demonstrated how to prepare traditional Turkish dishes such as simit, lentil soup, menemen, shish kebab, and künefe, a sweet cheese pastry.
Mr Murat Yıldırımgeç, spouse of Turkish Ambassador Mrs Nilvana Darama Yıldırımgeç, welcomed guests, including Mrs Winnie Lamola, spouse of South Africa’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ronald Lamola.
In true Turkish hospitality, everyone left with a smile and a deeper appreciation for the preparation, flavours, and warmth of Turkish cuisine.
